The Light in the Darkness

A luxury dive watch is defined by its legibility in the dark. On a genuine Rolex, the lume is bright, uniform, and lasts all night. On average replicas, it is patchy, dim, and the wrong color.

At Victory Factory, we import our luminescent pigments directly from Switzerland’s RC Tritec AG, the same supplier used by top-tier Swiss brands.

Correct Color Chemistry: Chromalight & C3

Rolex uses specific types of luminescence depending on the era and model. We match them precisely.

  • Chromalight (Blue): For modern Rolex models (Submariner, GMT-Master II, Datejust), we use the correct Swiss BGW9 pigment that glows a distinct, icy blue. It is highly legible underwater and lasts up to 8 hours.
  • Super-Luminova C3 (Green): For vintage-inspired or specific models, we use the classic Swiss C3 pigment, known for being the brightest photoluminescent material available.

The Application Art: The “Enamel” Effect

Having the right pigment is only half the battle. The application is where craftsmanship shows.

  • Competitor Application: Often applied thinly or unevenly, looking grainy like dried paint. You may see spillover onto the metal markers.
  • Victory Application: Our dial makers apply the lume in multiple thin layers. This builds up a convex, domed shape inside the marker. The result looks smooth, glossy, and solid like ceramic enamel, even when not glowing. It is clean, sharp, and has zero bleed.
